In 2018 I was commissioned by Himkok to create 13 bespoke illustrated menu designs. Each menu page was illustrated by hand with reference to a core ingredient and Bunad textile pattern. ‘Bunad’ is a term used to describe traditional Norwegian dress, usually dating from the 18th or 19th centuries. There are many regional variations to the intricate patterns – these variations were used to reference the locality of ingredients used.
